Windows
1. Get connected! Make sure you have internet access. Launch a browser to check.
2. Go to Control Panel --> Network Connections --> select the
National
Broadband Access icon, right click on it and select
Properties.
3. Click on the Advanced tab.
4. There will be a checkbox that says "Allow other network users to
connect through this computer's Internet connection".
Make sure that it is
checked.
5. Click OK
6. Plug the phone into the laptop's Ethernet port and
turn it on.
7. Restart the laptop.
8. Make sure that you still have Internet access thru
the Broadband Card.
9. Go back to Control Panel --> Network Connections --> select the
National
Broadband Access icon, right click on it and select
Properties.
10. Click on the Advanced tab.
11. Underneath "Allow other network users to
connect through this computer's Internet connection"
is a drop down menu. Click on the Down Arrow
and select Local Area Connection.
12. Click OK
Macintosh OS X
1. Get connected! Make sure you have internet access. Launch a browser to check.
2. Plug the phone into the laptop's Ethernet port and
turn it on.
3. Go to System Preferences.
4. Click on Sharing (under the Internet &
Network preferences).
5.
Turn on Personal Web Sharing by clicking on the
box before it (a check mark will appear in it to verify
that it is turned on).
6. Above this checklist, you will see Services,
Firewall and Internet. Click on Internet.
7. Across Share your connection from: there is a
drop down menu. Select Airport
8. Turn on Built-in Ethernet by clicking on the
box before it (a check mark will appear in it to verify
that it is turned on).
9. Click on the Start button to turn on
Internet Sharing. You may now close this window.
Continue on to the videophone:
10. Press MENU button
11. Using the arrow keys, select Configuration
and
press MENU to enter selection.
12. Select Network Configuration; press MENU.
13. Select DHCP; press MENU. (Enabled text should be white.)
14. Press on the right or left arrow so that it is
Disabled; press MENU.
15. Select IP Address; press MENU.
16. Change the current IP Address: 0.0.0.0 to:
192.168.2.2; press MENU.
17. Select Subnet Mask; press MENU.
18. Change the current Subnet Mask: 0.0.0.0 to: 255.255.255.0; press
MENU.
19. Select Gateway; press MENU.
20. Change the current Gateway 0.0.0.0 to: 192.168.2.1; press
MENU.
21. Click the left arrow 3 times.
22. You will be asked to Save System Setting and
Reboot. Press MENU to select yes.
